EXP-POT Potenciostat

The EXP-POT potentiostat is a totally PC controlled three channel potentiostat which can work in galvanostat and also in ZRA modes. It is ideal and low cost equipment suitable for laboratory researches and industrial measuring as well as for educational purposes.

APPLICATION of EXP-POT:
· Biotechnological sensors (amperometric sensors mA, μA, nA)
· Analytical chemistry, research and education (normal and differential pulse voltammetry, square wave voltammetry)
· Instrumental analyses (voltammetry, amperometry)
· Observation of electrode processes (CV, measuring with controlled electrode-potential)
· Cyclic voltammetry
· Electrolysis (electrosynthesis and electropolimerization)
· Reversed-phase HPLC detection
· Galvanostat
· ZRA (Zero Resistance Ammetry)

Hardware:
· Applicable potential: Vref = ±2 V
· Output Voltage Uwc = ±15 V (max.)
· Setting time Tset = 10 μs (max.)
· Input resistance Rin = 1012 Ω (in case of voltammetry)
· Current ranges ±2 mA, ±200 μA, ±20 μA, ±2 μA, ±200 nA, ±20 nA
· Maximum resolution between 970 nA/bit and 9.7 pA/bit
· Switch time Tswitch = 4 μs (max.)
· Filter cut-off frequency f = 10 Hz (3. order Bessel)
· Filter setting time TF = 70 ms (1%-ra)
· Measurable values
- potentiostat Iw,Uwr, Uw
- galvanostat Uw, Iwr, Iw

The EXP-POT potentiostat is PC controlled, and there are no control panel but the status LEDs. For operating the potentiostat a digital data register card (National Instruments NI-6024E) and the control program are needed.

With the help of the remote control the following setups and measuring can be carried out:
· Potentiostat / galvanostat mode switching (PS / GS)
· Filter On / Off
· Referential test resistance On / Off (Ref. Test)
· Instrument – cell connection On / Off
· Setting up maximum and minimum ranges (and switch to automatic mode)
· Setting up applied potential of electrodes
· Overload sign (output voltage at the maximum value)
· Overrun sign (minimum range is too low, defective measuring)
· Underrun sign (maximum range is too high, imprecise measuring)
· Continuous indication of Iw ,Uwr and Uc values

With EXP-POT – not only the manually set up measuring but all the electro-chemical measurements (within analytic chemistry and biosensor measuring) are available according to the pre-defined sample projects.
