AMP-10-INTS Intracellular amplifier system for measurement of heart intracellular action potential using KCL glass electrodes

Experimetria intracellular workstation (EXP-INTS) is a ready-for-work solution those who are looking for a high quality set-up with a simple, easy to use design to measure QT, evoked potentials and single cell membrane potentials in “ in-vitro” conditions together with changes of force displacement. The system is also equipped with a high performance isolated stimulator-amplifier unit. Circulating water bath, data acquisition system, Faraday cage and other accessories are available at Experimetria Ltd.

The intracellular linear (INT) amplifier is designed to measure QT, evoked potentials and single cell membrane potentials in “in-vitro” conditions. The amplifier exhibits low noise, high input resistance and low input capacitance. It consists of two items, an INT amplifier and a pre-amplifier (head-stage). The task of preamplifier is to enable the impedance connection between the electrode and the end-amplifiers (x1 amplification). The INT amplifier provides function checks (resistance measurement, capacitance compensation), the 10-fold amplification and it helps monitoring the insertion of the electrode with the built-in sound generator. The 3-digit LED display enables to read the mV values during the entire experiment (except of the resistance value).

Parameters of INT amplifier
Input resistance: 10 kΩ
Amplification: 1x, 10x
Bucking: ±300 mV
Impedance measurement: 0-100 MΩ
Calibration signal: 200 Hz square wave
Insertation monitor: audio
Display: 5-digit LED

Parameters of pre-amplifier
Input resistance: 10 Ω
Amplification: X1
Input capacitance: 0-25 pF (compensated)
Housing: aluminum
Cable length: 70 mm
O.D.: 15 mm
Cable: shielded
Microelectrode holder connector: standard 2mm I.D. (i.e. Clark type, WPI type, etc.)

The strain gauge (SG) amplifier has been designed to receive and amplify signals based on resistance changes of force-, displacement- and pressure- transducers. The SG unit is highly flexible based on its three different built-in filter, high gain maximum (250.000), adjustable output level with potentiometer (0-100%) and LED bar for visual control of changes.

Parameters
Bridge supply voltage: 2V, 5V, 7V, gradual, internally selectable
Standard adjustment: 2V or 5V
Gain: adjustment continuously by potentiometer in the range of 2000- 250.000
Calibration: by potentiometer according to passed sensor
Analogue indication: 2 LED monitoring of bridge and a LED bar for monitoring output
Low pass filter: three position of filter switch for 3, 10 and 40 Hz
Input: 25 kΩ symmetrical, maximum ±5V
Output: Impedance: 100 Ω, full scale between 0±5V can be continuously adjusted. Output is a voltage generator type.

The isolated stimulator (ISO) amplifier is designed for simple stimulating or organs or tissues, triggering of evoked potential. It can be used in both “in-vivio” and “in-vitro” conditions of animal experiments as voltage or current generator. The output level is adjustable between 0-100% with a potentiometer and the polarity is selectable for any type of impulses.

Parameters
Voltage range: 10 V 100 V
Current ranges: 1 mA, 100 mA, 150 mA
