NEU-01-RCS4 Superfusion chamber to study neurotransmitter release from brain from cultured cells

  • easy and fast change of slice-chambers
  • external thermostation
The system is designed for neurotransmitter release from brain slices evoked by chemical or electrical stimulation. Released substances can be analytically analyzed (e.g. HPLC) and/or following radioactivity can be measured with radiolabelled, using materials as scintillation counter.
Changeable slice chambers make the system easy-to-use and effective. Built-in platinum-iridium stimulator electrodes provide homogeneous electrical field during stimulation.

No immersion into a thermostated bath is necessary. Temperature is maintained by a glass-coil heater. Special chamber is included in the set-up for radiolabelling. Optional devices such as water-jacked buffer reservoir, stirring water bath, low-flow pump, fraction collector or stimulator with isolated current generator can be purchased from Experimetria.

Suggested application:
  • release of neurotransmitters from brain slices by electrical or chemical stimulation
